Safety is something many of us take for granted. But safety is no accident. Proper training and thorough knowledge of materials and equipment lead to a safe work environment. However, when an accident does occur, knowing the right procedures and how to implement them can mean the difference between a mishap and a disaster. Medical Access not only provides treatment of work-related injuries but also offers programs designed to prevent injuries and illness among workers and promotes health and safety in the work environment.

Our services are tailored to meet the individual needs of each company. Our specially trained staff help employers to assess the work environment, recommend and coordinate the implementation of health and safety programs, and assist in maintaining compliance with regulatory agencies.

INJURY PREVENTION

Pre-placement Screening Design
Identifying the essential physical demands required for employees to successfully perform their required job tasks is crucial to productivity. We can assist companies in developing accurate physical job demands and incorporate them into existing job descriptions, in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). A thorough pre-placement evaluation is invaluable in determining whether employees are capable of completing their required tasks without increased risk of injury to themselves or others.

Training and Education
A key component of successful injury prevention programming is education. We can assist employers with the development and/or implementation of training programs to provide employee education that is consistent with the health and safety objectives of the company. We are able to train both employees and supervisors in safety and prevention guidelines, which are tailored to your specific operation. Our services range from basic back safety to proper lifting techniques.

WELLNESS PROMOTION

A healthy workforce is a significant factor in maintaining productivity and has a direct impact on the bottom line. Too often, minor illness such as the flu or other contagious diseases cause high absenteeism rates among employees. High blood pressure, hypertension, diabetes, smoking and overall poor nutrition contribute to short and long-term health conditions which affects an employee's performance and attendance. We offer preventive vaccinations for tetanus, flu, hepatitis A and B, etc. Promoting good health and physical fitness is cost effective, both in the short and long run.
